I am completely done!

I am completely done with school! I graduate one week from today after I get back from my conference tournament! You have no idea how excited and relieved I am to be done. I hope and pray that I can find a job soon, or at least temp for a while. I am going to send around lots of resumes when I get back from conference. I hope I do well at my tournament...my parents are coming and I want them to be proud of me. This will be my last college tournament ever! I might as well just enjoy it and have fun! Im out! Kels

last day of clinic!

Today is the last day of clinic and I am so relieved! We are having a huge lunch party for my Professor who was nominated professor of the year. We are having pork cafe rio salads...home made! I am so excited! I do have a lot to do today and tomorow, including one test, sealant clinic, clinic checkout, finish up a project, and a couple other small things. I just want to be graduated!

Waiting for boards

It will be one month from tomorow and I have still not yet received the results from my boards. It is driving me crazy! If I don't pass my clinicals I have no idea how I am going to find a patient because I don't have clinic. I am praying that I passed the Process of Care written. I finished up my last clinic session in Salt Lake today and good thing! My patient was related to President Hinckley which was cool! Tomorow is my last day of clinic at Weber State. Yeah! Thanks to all those who read my blog...which is probably just my mom and maybe my sister:) I guess it is nice for them to see what I am going through in this program...I am so glad it's over! I love school, but man I am excited to get out in the real world and not have to do any more homework or worry about passing tests all the time! Thanks to all those who supported me these last two years!

Graduation Next Week

This last month has gone by really fast, luckily! I was CA yesterday which I am very happy to be done with. I just have to take one more test and do a couple more things for school and I am done. By this Friday, I will be completely done with all my school work. I am leaving for Arizona Saturday morning for my conference golf tournament and I hope that I do a lot better than the last tournaments. This semester has been really rough when it comes to golf! I have not had the time, or the weather, to be able to practice efficiently. This has been the worst semester in four years when it comes to practice. I just want to end on a good note! I am so excited to graduate and look for a job! Yet I have not yet heard from WREB concerning my results and it's driving me crazy!

Almost there!

I cleaned two patients today and they were both 1Bs. I have all my requirements in but I just need to pass off nitrous oxide and oraquix. Other than that, I am still learning and practicing for the real world. I just hope and pray that I passed WREB!! Now I just need to practice golf as much as I can and try to get into shape for Mt Ranier in May and a century ride I am riding on May 21st.
Right after I graduate, Greg and I are going to climb King's Peak in the snow..and I am getting a personal mountaineering lesson ha I am so excited! I can't wait to gradutate!

Practically done!

I took boards last week on Wednesday and Thursday...I passed my anesthesia written and clinical which was a huge relief. I cleaned my board patient's teeth on Thursday, which I felt really good about considering I don't get the results for another 3 weeks! I hope and pray that I passed! I went to St George for the weekend and played golf at Entrada. The weather was horrendous on Monday, but it slowly got better, and by Tuesday it was gorgeous. Unfortunately, I still played terrible with the good weather. I am not focused on my golf game more than anything else. Assuming that I passed my boards, clinical and process of care, I can now focus on doing well for my conference championship in 3 weeks. I have a few more assignments to get done, but school should not be difficult from here on out. I only have 1 final to study for.
Greg, on the other hand, has loads to do for school. It will all be over in 3 weeks! Hurray!

Boards are close

I did LA mockboard this morning and I now feel less confident than I did before. On my PSA injection, I thought that I had the last angle right, but apparently I would have failed that injection. I did good on the IA, other than having to reinject due to a positive aspiration. Everything else was good, but I do need to make sure that I get that angle right on the PSA. I hope that I passed the written, I will find out soon.
I have a board patient, but no back up. I am hoping that he will qualify the first time. I just want to get this all over with. It is so stressful just waiting and hoping that i pass. I am not super busy right not, just studying for anesthesia and making sure that I have everything for boards.
I need to make sure that I am still practicing golf as much as possible and enjoying the semester so I don't blow up!
