My patient was way late!

My patient last Wednesday was almost an hour and a half late because he went to the wrong campus ha ha I wasn't really freaking out inside, I was only anxious to find out what class he was. I was able to do a full mouth of x rays which was so great...expecially since I was limited on time and I got through the OD. I won't know till I start cleaning him this week if he is a 1B or a light Class II. But overall it was fine...even though I felt rushed through the xrays. I found out that one of my strengths is making my patients feel comfortable with me, especially while taking xrays. I seemed to get him laughing a ton which helped him keep his mind off of how uncomfortable a full mouth is. But the worst part of it was I almost couldn't treat him because he was hypertensive...right on the border so I put down prehypertensive. We had to check his blood pressure 4 times. That was very frustrating because I would have wasted a whole clinic day. But he doesn't have a doctor so that creates a problem. I now know the problems that can occur in clinic and have a better idea of how to cope with them ha ha.
