Wednesday was not so much fun!!

Last Wednesday in clinic we learned how to run the air powder polisher and I definitely do not like it! It hurt a lot more than I thought and I feel bad for those patients that need to use it. I really enjoyed the prophy paste, the selective polishing, and the flouride, but only because they taste so much better. Having salt all over in your mouth and all over your face is not fun. Although it was quite painful, it was essential to learn for my patients with orthodontics or hard to reach areas. Other than that clinic was great...I even stayed after to learn how to put on sealants. It was so nice of Burke to stay after to let me practice. The next day I was able to observe a second year student and I feel very comfortable with the order of everything now...since I have my first patient coming up in a couple weeks!
