We just finished mockboards and I passed with a 93%! I had one of the hardest patients I have ever seen...deep pockets, tenacious calculus, and an impossible 3rd molar. She was very difficult and to make it worse, her mouth was tiny. Yet, I only missed one spot that counted against me. This has really boosted my confidence, but it was also humbling because I did a lot of work to get the calculus off. I need to make sure my board patient doesn't have a 3rd molar and that the probe depths aren't deep.
I am so relieved that everything went well, I have been having a hard time with clinic and it really helps to actually see and hear from my professors that I did an amazing job. Life is good! And now I am going skiing tomorrow and I am going to enjoy it!
