Today was the best day ever!

In clinic I had so much time to practice and I have learned so much! I feel so much more comfortable with the anterior sickle scaler and the barnhart. After some more practice I feel a lot better with the soft touch, the angulation, and the adaptation. I passed off my explorer PE and had time to really feel comfortable with the skills I am learning. Even though it is getting more overwhelming every week I can see how the skills we are learning are progressing on top of each other as we learn more. My goal is to stay ahead with PEs and to also feel very comfortable with scaling and probing by the time I have my first patient. It is tough missing clinic and class because of golf, but I am glad that I still feel up to speed with everything. Burke said my touch is a whole lot better and I have a lot more confidence in myself. I am surprised that I haven't been nervous at all as I have been learning the instruments. I love dental hygiene!
